Our client, a leading family run manufacturing organisation, are currently recruiting for a Accountant.

Reporting to the Finance Director, we are looking for someone who will take on responsibility for the day to day running of the Finance department including supervising 3 staff.The individual will need to be hands on, and be prepared to help out with general tasks as well as working on high-level decision making tasks.

Responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of the monthly management accounts within SAP for review with the Finance Director.
• Generate a monthly management pack and PowerPoint slides for management meetings.
• Report on overhead costs and be prepared to analyse and comment with budget holders.
• Prepare year end reporting and audit packs which are acceptable for external audit.
• Develop reporting for management using SAP, Access and Excel knowledge.
• National Statistics reporting and reports to external bodies.
• Manage the Finance team, consisting of two credit controllers and a purchase ledger supervisor.
• Work with the Production planning team for month end stock reporting.
• Advise in automation of processes within the SAP system, to gain efficiencies in processing.
• Budgetary reporting and generation of forecasts on a quarterly basis.
• Training of Accounts staff



Person Specification:
• Ideally you will be Fully qualified either ACCA or CIMA, however part qualified or currently studying will also be considered.
• SAP experience is Essential
• High level of skills in Access and Excel required.
• Management of staff in previous roles.

You must be able to demonstrate a proven record in financial accounting gained in the manufacturing sector.
Able to adapt and learn quickly with the ability to work with staff at management level.
